A selection of paintings from my Copse series are now on show at the Foyer Gallery, Letchworth Broadway Gallery. The show runs until Sunday 9th October.

These paintings have been developed from drawings and photographs of a small clearing and wood near to my home.

The paintings veer from being partly representational to partly abstract. I am most interested when they are on the edge of recognition. This is usually when there is a tension when a wish to express is worked against a reluctance to reveal.
